First Coast Technical College Education Foundation

Support the Foundation

We invite you to help First Coast Technical College (FCTC) Education Foundation ensure student access to high-quality education by eliminating financial barriers.

The Foundation plays a crucial role in enabling committed students to stay in school and complete their course of study. We help students overcome adversity and critical financial need; without this safety net, many students would not remain enrolled and graduate.

FCTC Education Foundation provides scholarships, professional resources and emergency assistance. Each student has unique needs; we design customized support to help ensure each individual’s success.

Scholarships

We partner with community businesses and organizations to offer a diverse range of scholarships. These scholarships help qualified students offset/reduce their out-of-pocket costs to lessen their educational expenses.

In memory of their father, Chris Force and her family have established the AJ Christopher Memorial Scholarship. As contributions enable us to celebrate Mr. Christopher’s life, First Coast Technical College’s students will receive valuable resources as they embark on their journey. Education is a gift that lasts forever. Gifts can be made by clicking the donation button or mailing:

A relatively small scholarship can make an exponential difference. In partnership with the Historic St. Augustine Kiwanis Club, the FCTC Education Foundation offers General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Success Scholarships for students with financial need. The $130 scholarship covers preparation classes and exam fees. Research shows that individuals with a high school diploma or GED will earn at least $400,000 more in their lifetime than those without a diploma.

Professional Resources

While tuition is the largest expense, students also need professional materials to participate in educational programs. Items range from books and supplies to uniforms and tools. The cost of professional resources varies based on the program.

Emergency Assistance

The cost of education can create financial strain on already limited budgets. When an unforeseen expense occurs, students may be faced with discontinuing their education in order to provide basic necessities like food, transportation and shelter for themselves and their families. The Education Foundation can help remove these obstacles and keep students in the classroom.

Your generous donation will allow more FCTC students to stay in school, complete their education and become employed citizens contributing to economic vitality of St. Johns County and the Northeast Florida region. Please donate today!
