Congratulations Jake Stanborough! Along with Blake Ingram (left), Bill Soman (right) presented Jake with an Ancient City Auto Club Scholarship. Jake has been in love with cars and happy to finally be attending mechanic school. He hopes to rebuild the motor in his 1989 Nissan Pulsar before the summer arrives so his grandmother can drive a stick when it’s done. When Jake is not in school or working as a lube tech, he says he loves to go to car meets. “It’s an amazing way to connect with other people and enjoy each other’s cars.
Diesel Systems Technician Brayan Zuniga was also recognized. Accompanied by Instructor Terry Smith and Principal Chris Force (left to right), Bill Soman (right) presented Brayan with an Ancient City Auto Club Scholarship. At 11 years old, Brayan started helping his father work on his truck. He soon started buying his own tools to work on family and friends cars. Now he enjoys bigger vehicles and machines like bobcats and tractors. This first hand experience in a real workshop will help Brayan progress and meet his goals.
Thank you Ancient City Auto Club for supporting FCTC’s students since 2009!
