Becoming a Dental Assistant was a dream of Alyssia’s after she attended FCTC’s Showcase while a student at Crescent City High School. Life took her in a different path by going into the workforce directly after graduating. When COVID hit, Alyssia lost her job so she was able to take advantage of the time to pursue a dental career. Through help from FCTC Education Foundation Foundation, St. Augustine Dental Society Scholarship, Career Navigators and the Horacio Alger Scholarship, she has the funding to pursue her career pathway. Alyssia is open to all the possibilities that life will bring her way.
